Champions League match in Turkey suspended due to snow, hail
A snow-covered field caused a match between Juventus and Galatasaray to be suspended.
A UEFA Champions League match between Juventus and Turkish power Galatasaray was suspended Tuesday in Istanbul after the pitch was covered in snow.
The referees halted play in the 33rd minute of a scoreless match that will determine which team will move through to the elimination round.
Americans and Costa Ricans alike will remember a World Cup match from earlier this year, in which the teams battled through a Colorado snow storm. The USMNT won that day, 1-0.
The match in Istanbul will be continued Wednesday.
