Kevin Garnett is a fiery competitor that often yells and fiercely gesticulates while on the court. Apparently, even off the court he still is fueled by a competitive fire that affects everything he does.
Like watching a musical based reality show.
From Bleacher Report's Howard Beck's oral history on Garnett:
Tyronn Lue: A lot of people do all their howling on the court and they're faking just for attention, but what he does is genuine. So one day we were at his house and we were watching Puff Daddy's show 'Making the Band,' and in one of the scenes, some new guys came in and were trying to sing and were trying to compete against the guys who had been there. And KG just got so hyped, 'Motherf----r, you've got to stand up for yours! You've got to fight! Motherf----r, you've got to come together!' He's going crazy, he's sweaty. And he just head butts the wall and put a hole in the wall of his house.
While it is surprising to hear that Garnett angrily created a hole in his wall from watching a show about singers, it is not surprising that he damaged his house by headbutting it. The headbutt seems to be one of Garnett's go-to moves. Back in January he was suspended for one game after he headbutted Dwight Howard.
But can you imagine watching TV with Garnett? It must be so frustrating, especially if you are trying to watch a show that is heavy in dialogue. Garnett will be getting up and yelling the whole time causing a scene. You would just have to watch the show again by yourself.
It is great that Garnett could empathize with the competitive aspect of "Making the Band," but more importantly, what are his thoughts on Dylan from "Making the Band 2?"
