Who's Playing

Charlotte @ Toronto

Current Records: Charlotte 26-21; Toronto 22-22

What to Know

The Charlotte Hornets have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. They will take on the Toronto Raptors at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

The Hornets have to be hurting after a devastating 113-91 defeat at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Charlotte was down 85-66 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Power forward Miles Bridges (19 points) and point guard LaMelo Ball (19 points) were the top scorers for Charlotte.

Meanwhile, the point spread favored Toronto on Sunday, but luck did not. They took a 114-105 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Portland Trail Blazers. Shooting guard Gary Trent Jr. wasn't much of a difference maker for Toronto; Trent Jr. finished with 13 points on 4-for-15 shooting in his 28 minutes on the court.

Charlotte is now 26-21 while the Raptors sit at 22-22. A pair of offensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Hornets come into the contest boasting the most points per game in the league at 114.1. Less enviably, Toronto has only been able to knock down 43.50% percent of their shots, which is the fourth lowest field goal percentage in the league.
