Who's Playing

Auburn @ Arkansas

Current Records: Auburn 22-1; Arkansas 18-5

What to Know

The #1 Auburn Tigers lost both of their matches to the Arkansas Razorbacks last season on scores of 85-97 and 73-75, so they're hoping to turn the tables this season. Auburn is staying on the road Tuesday to face off against Arkansas at 7 p.m. ET Feb. 8 at Bud Walton Arena. These two teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins.

It was a close one, but this past Saturday the Tigers sidestepped the Georgia Bulldogs for a 74-72 win. It was another big night for Auburn's forward Walker Kessler, who had ten points in addition to nine boards and four blocks. Kessler has also now had at least four blocks in his past three games.

Meanwhile, the Mississippi State Bulldogs typically have all the answers at home, but this past Saturday Arkansas proved too difficult a challenge. Arkansas bagged a 63-55 victory. Guard JD Notae (14 points) was the top scorer for the Razorbacks.

Barring any buzzer beaters, the Tigers are expected to win a tight contest. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (16-5), so they might be worth a quick bet.

The wins brought Auburn up to 22-1 and Arkansas to 18-5. A couple offensive stats to keep an eye on: Auburn comes into the contest boasting the 16th most points per game in college basketball at 80.3. Arkansas is not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they rank 28th in college basketball when it comes to points per game, with 78.6 on average. Tune in for what's sure to be a high-scoring game.
