Bryant @ Cincinnati
Current Records: Bryant 3-5; Cincinnati 6-2
What to Know
The Bryant Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Cincinnati Bearcats at 7 p.m. ET Sunday at Fifth Third Arena. Cincinnati will be strutting in after a win while the Bulldogs will be stumbling in from a loss.
Bryant took a serious blow against the Houston Cougars this past Friday, falling 111-44. Guard Peter Kiss had a pretty forgettable game, playing for 33 minutes but putting up just nine points on 4-for-16 shooting and six turnovers.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati escaped with a win this past Wednesday against the Miami (Ohio) RedHawks by the margin of a single free throw, 59-58. Cincinnati's forward Abdul Ado looked sharp as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.
Bryant is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn't have high expectations for them since the squad is 0-3 ATS when expected to lose.
The Bulldogs are now 3-5 while the Bearcats sit at 6-2. Two numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: Bryant has only been able to knock down 40.50% percent of their shots, which is the 40th lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. Cincinnati's defense has more to brag about, as they they have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 35.70%, which places them seventh in college basketball. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
