Southeast Missouri State @ Incarnate Word
Current Records: Southeast Missouri State 2-2; Incarnate Word 0-4
What to Know
The Southeast Missouri State Redhawks have enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the Incarnate Word Cardinals at 1 p.m. ET Friday at Alice P. McDermott Convocation Center. Southeast Missouri State won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy a 5.5-point advantage in the spread.
The Redhawks can't say they have nothing to be thankful for this Thanksgiving week. They walked away with a 71-63 win over the Missouri Baptist Spartans on Monday.
Meanwhile, Incarnate Word was expected to have a tough go of it on Saturday, and, well, they did. They suffered a grim 84-62 defeat to the Texas Tech Red Raiders. Forward Johnny Hughes III put forth a good effort for the losing side as he had 20 points in addition to nine boards.
The Redhawks are now 2-2 while the Cardinals sit at 0-4. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: Southeast Missouri State is ninth worst in college basketball in points allowed per game, with 81.5 on average. Incarnate Word has experienced some struggles of their own as they have allowed their opponents to shoot 54.60% from the floor on average, which is the 356th highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
