Belmont @ Saint Louis
Current Records: Belmont 7-3; Saint Louis 7-2
What to Know
The Saint Louis Billikens have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Belmont Bruins at 8 p.m. ET Dec. 7 at Chaifetz Arena. The Billikens earned a 60-55 win in their most recent game against Belmont in November of 2019.
Saint Louis entered their matchup against the UAB Blazers this past Saturday without any home losses -- but there's a first time for everything. Saint Louis was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 77-72 to UAB. Saint Louis got double-digit scores from four players: guard DeAndre Jones (17), guard Fred Thatch Jr. (12), forward Francis Okoro (12), and forward Marten Linssen (11).
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the contest between the Bruins and the Samford Bulldogs on Sunday was still a pretty decisive one as Belmont wrapped it up with an 85-73 victory on the road.
Barring any buzzer beaters, the Billikens are expected to win a tight contest Tuesday. Those burned by picking them against the spread this past Saturday might want to keep in mind that the team has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
Belmont's win lifted them to 7-3 while Saint Louis' defeat dropped them down to 7-2. We'll see if Belmont can repeat their recent success or if Saint Louis bounces back and reverse their fortune.
