Alcorn State @ Wisconsin-Milwaukee
Current Records: Alcorn State 0-5; Wisconsin-Milwaukee 1-4
What to Know
The Alcorn State Braves will hit the road for the sixth straight game as they head to UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena at 2 p.m. ET Sunday. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
The Braves were close but no cigar this past Friday as they fell 62-59 to the Southern Illinois Salukis.
As for the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers, it looks like they got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. This past Wednesday, they lost to the Yale Bulldogs by a decisive 69-56 margin.
Alcorn State is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread, however, as they are currently on a five-game streak of ATS wins.
The losses put Alcorn State at 0-5 and the Panthers at 1-4. A couple offensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Braves are 17th worst in college basketball in points per game, with only 61.4 on average. Wisconsin-Milwaukee has experienced some struggles of their own as they have only been able to knock down 39.20% percent of their shots, which is the 23rd lowest field goal percentage in college basketball. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
