Nets' Beau Beech: Signs contract with Nets

Beech signed a one-year, partially guaranteed contract with the Nets on Sunday, Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports reports.

Beech played with the Nets during the Las Vegas summer league, posting averages of 8.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists over 19 minutes per game. He's well-known for his ability to shoot the ball, evidenced most by his senior season at North Florida where he finished 45 percent from the field and an impressive 42 percent from the three-point line. He'll join the Nets for training camp, but considering he's only on a partially guaranteed deal, Beech will still have to fight for a roster spot.
