  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Adds power-play helper

McDavid logged a power-play assist in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Kings in Game 4.

McDavid continues to be a big playmaker for the Oilers, with a goal and nine helpers through four playoff contests. He's earned eight of his 10 points with the man advantage, with the Oilers vastly overpowering the Kings while a man up. McDavid has added 10 shots on net, nine hits and a plus-1 rating in the postseason while playing in his usual top-line role.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Sets up decisive goal

Draisaitl recorded a power-play assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Kings in Game 4.

Draisaitl has eight points over four playoff outings, and six of those points have come with the man advantage. He set up Evan Bouchard's second-period marker Sunday, which was enough to give the Oilers a 3-1 lead in this first-round series. While Draisaitl's 5-on-5 scoring is lacking, he continues to be a reliable scorer while seeing big minutes in the top six and on the power play.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Scores lone goal in win

Bouchard scored a power-play goal on two shots and blocked two shots in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Kings in Game 4.

Unlike previous games in this first-round series, offense was at a premium. Bouchard's goal was the only one of 13 Oilers shots to get by David Rittich, but Stuart Skinner made sure that was enough for Edmonton to go home ahead 3-1 in the series. The 24-year-old Bouchard has a goal, five helpers, 14 shots on net and nine blocked shots through four playoff outings, with four of his six points coming on the power play.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Steals Game 4 win

Skinner recorded a 33-save shutout in Sunday's 1-0 win over the Kings in Game 4.

The Oilers looked like the worse team for the first time in the series, but Skinner stepped up to deliver his first playoff shutout and his third win in four first-round games. The 25-year-old was able to make an Evan Bouchard power-play goal hold for the win Sunday. Skinner has given up 11 goals over four games versus the Kings, and he'll likely be in goal against for Wednesday's Game 5.

  • Oilers' Philip Broberg: Joins big club

Broberg was promoted from AHL Bakersfield on Sunday.

Broberg will likely serve as a depth option for the Oilers after AHL Bakersfield was knocked out of the postseason. He had two assists in 12 NHL games this season.

  • Oilers' Jack Campbell: Recalled Sunday

Campbell was promoted from AHL Bakersfield on Sunday.

AHL Bakersfield was knocked out of the Calder Cup playoffs so Campbell will likely be serving as the third goalie for the Oilers. He went 1-4-0 with an .873 save percentage at the NHL level this season and hasn't appeared in a game at the top level since Nov. 4.

  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Back in net Sunday

Skinner will guard the road cage Sunday in Game 4 against the Kings, Oilers play-by-by announcer Jack Michaels reports.

Skinner is coming off a 27-save performance in a 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3 as the Oilers took a 2-1 series lead. The 25-year-old netminder has an .890 save percentage through the first three games in the postseason.

  • Oilers' Cody Ceci: Offers helper in win

Ceci provided an assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Ceci set up an Evander Kane goal in the second period. The helper was Ceci's first point in four outings since he rested in the Oilers' penultimate regular-season game. The defenseman had 25 points, 97 shots on net, 91 hits and 106 blocked shots over 79 regular-season outings while filling a top-four role this season, one he's continued in for the playoffs.

  • Oilers' Darnell Nurse: Gathers helper Friday

Nurse logged an assist, three shots on goal and six blocked shots in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Nurse snapped a three-game dry spell by helping out on Leon Draisaitl's first-period tally. The 29-year-old Nurse posted 32 points in 81 regular-season contests in 2023-24, his lowest point total in six years. He remains a physical force with 172 blocked shots, 168 hits and 79 PIM, but he may not contribute much offense in the postseason.

  • Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Contributes helper

Ekholm logged an assist, five shots on goal, two blocked shots and two PIM in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

The assist was Ekholm's first point in three playoff outings to go with seven shots on net, four hits and five blocked shots. The 33-year-old defenseman had a career-high 45 points and a plus-44 rating over 79 regular-season appearances. His focus remains on keeping the Oilers' defensive zone clear, but he can also chip in solid secondary scoring from his top-four role.

  • Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Grabs power-play apple

Bouchard notched a power-play assist, five shots on goal and 14 PIM in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Bouchard has five helpers, including three on the power play, through three playoff contests. The defenseman has also earned seven blocked shots and a plus-1 rating. The bulk of Bouchard's penalty trouble came from a misconduct in the third period of this one -- he typically won't spend much time in the sin bin, but he can help out with power-play production and blocks.

  • Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Supplies trio of helpers

Nugent-Hopkins registered three assists in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Two of the three helpers came on the power play. Nugent-Hopkins is up to four points (three on the power play), five shots on net, five hits and a minus-1 rating through three playoff contests. The winger continues to play in a top-six role and on the first power-play unit, which should lead to plenty of chances in an offense that's racked up 17 goals over its first three postseason games.

  • Oilers' Connor McDavid: Racks up three points in win

McDavid scored a goal on five shots, added two assists and logged two hits in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

All three of McDavid's points came on the power play -- he's earned seven of his nine points this postseason with the man advantage. The all-world center has added nine shots on net, eight hits and a plus-1 rating. McDavid's still a little assist-heavy (one goal, eight helpers), but the Oilers won't care how he gets his offense as long as it continues to show up in bulk.

  • Oilers' Evander Kane: Active presence in Game 3 win

Kane scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist, added 15 PIM and logged three hits in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Kane helped out on a Leon Draisaitl tally in the first period, scored a goal of his own in the second and then fought Andreas Englund to complete the Gordie Howe hat trick in the third. This was a classic Kane performance in a nutshell, with offense and physicality in equal parts. He's collected 11 hits, 14 shots on net, 15 PIM and two points through three playoff outings after being cleared following a three-game absence due to a sports hernia at the end of the regular season.

  • Oilers' Zach Hyman: Strikes twice Friday

Hyman scored two goals on four shots and added five hits in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Hyman opened the scoring at 6:42 of the first period and added a power-play marker in the third. The winger has six goals, one assist, 15 shots on net, 13 hits and a plus-2 rating over three playoff contests. Hyman continues to be a perfect fit on the top line and first power-play unit as he racks up big scoring numbers for the Oilers.

  • Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Three-point effort in Game 3 win

Draisaitl scored twice on four shots, added an assist, went plus-2, blocked two shots and logged two PIM in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Draisaitl's first goal was at even strength, while his other two points were on the power play. The 28-year-old has been in peak form with three goals, four helpers, 15 shots on net and a plus-1 rating through three playoff contests. With the Oilers leading the series 2-1, Draisaitl is likely to remain on the second line rather than moving up to play alongside Connor McDavid.

... See More ... See Less
  • Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Steady in Game 3 win

Skinner stopped 27 of 28 shots in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3.

Skinner turned in the first good goaltending performance on either side in this series, though he also had plenty of support from his offense. He's allowed 10 goals on 91 shots through three games, but the Oilers have scored 17 times to establish a 2-1 series lead. Skinner continues to hold the starting job, and he'll presumably get the chance to try to strengthen Edmonton's position in Sunday's Game 4.
