Week 4 SEC Scholar Athletes: Tennessee's Todd Kelly Jr. and Florida's Alex Anzalone

Tennessee was able to put an end to its losing streak against Florida on Saturday with a 38-28 victory in Knoxville. The game was highlighted by the Vols coming back from an early 21-0 deficit to beat the Gators for the first time since 2004. Both of our SEC Scholar Athletes had a big impact in the game for their teams.

Tennessee safety Todd Kelly Jr. finished the day with five tackles, but also had a big interception in the second half that helped keep the Gators from stopping the Tennessee comeback. The five tackles leave Kelly with 22 on the season, tying him for the team lead with fellow defensive back Emmanuel Mosley.

Off the field Kelly has a 3.33 cumulative GPA and is majoring in Biochemistry and Cellular & Molecular Biology. His father is former Tennessee defensive lineman Todd Kelly, and both his parents met at Tennessee. Before the season began Kelly changed his number from 6 to 24 to honor fallen local hero Zaevion Dobson, a high school football player who died shielding two girls from gunfire. Kelly is close with Dobson's family.

For Florida, Alex Anzalone led the Gators with 12 tackles against Tennessee on Saturday. Anzalone now has 26 tackles on the season, leading the Gators in that category after four games.

Anzalone has already graduated from Florida with a sports management degree, and is currently enrolled in graduate school where he is pursuing a Master's in business management.
