Gibson will be in the crease to begin Anaheim's first-round series with Nashville on Friday, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports.

There was some debate as to whether Gibson or Frederik Andersen would be the Ducks goaltender once the postseason opened, but now it seems as though Gibson will be coach Bruce Boudreau's choice for at least the time being. Gibson finished the regular season with good numbers (2.07 GAA, .920 save percentage), while his team holds a clear edge over Nashville. At the end of the day, Gibson will likely only need to make the saves he should make to put the Ducks in a position to win.
