Kane (ribs) is hoping to begin contact drills soon and is aiming to return sometime next week, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
After cracking three ribs in the Sabres' first game of the season, Kane has progressed through his rehab and is now set to advance to contact drills. If the 25-year-old left winger doesn't encounter any setbacks as he ramps up his workload the next several days, he could return for a Nov. 11 matchup against the Devils.
