Hartman posted 12 goals and 26 points with 74 PIM and 145 shots on net in 83 games this season. Thanks to good timing with the trade between the Predators and Flyers, Hartman managed to play 83 games this season. Hartman averaged about 0.31 points per game with each team but posted a significantly worse plus-minus with the Flyers (minus-6 versus plus-7). He also racked up more PIM with Philadelphia, recording 30 PIM in just 19 games. Hartman will be a restricted free agent this offseason.
Hartman posted 14 PIM during the season finale loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday. The 24-year-old received a game misconduct about halfway through the second period. That ensured Hartman posted his third straight season with at least 70 PIM. During 2018-19, he posted 12 goals, 26 points and 74 PIM in 83 games with the Predators and Flyers (Hartman picked up an additional game because of the trade).
Hartman has one goal and four points with 14 PIM in 13 games with the Flyers. With the Predators, Hartman was experiencing a decent offensive season for a fourth-liner with 10 goals and 20 points in 64 games, but since the trade, he hasn't produced. The biggest difference is in his shooting percentage, which in Philadelphia is about half of what it was with the Predators. At least Hartman has continued to rack up PIM, hits and blocks. He has 11 goals, 24 points, 58 PIM, 94 hits and 33 blocks in 64 games this season.
Hartman (illness) registered two hits and two shots in only 6:04 in Sunday's 2-1 overtime win against the Penguins. The Flyers used their fourth line sparingly in the close contest, leading to Hartman getting very limited minutes in his return. The depth winger remains at 23 points in 72 games between the Flyers and Predators this season, and will likely see more minute Tuesday versus the Canadiens.
Hartman (illness) is expected to play Sunday against the Penguins, Dave Isaac of the Courier Post reports. The fiery utility winger was a late scratch for Friday's game against the Buds, but Flyers coach Scott Gordon confirmed that he plans to have Hartman at his disposal against the Pens. Assuming he does play, Hartman could see additional ice time in the event that superstar Claude Giroux misses the game with an illness of his own -- he's a game-time call.
