Coach Dave Lowry doesn't expect Perfetti (upper body) to return this season, Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet reports. Although he almost certainly won't play another game this year, Perfetti is expected to start practicing with the Jets in the coming days. The 20-year-old rookie will finish the season having tallied seven points through 18 NHL appearances.

Perfetti (upper body) is with the team on its four-game road trip but has only just started skating on his own, Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press reports. Considering Perfetti has yet to resume practicing with the team, he should probably be considered a long shot to play during this four-game road trip. Even if he does return, the Ontario native is unlikely to see significant minutes and should be considered a low-end fantasy target.

Perfetti (upper body) was placed on long-term injured reserve Friday. Perfetti has already missed Winnipeg's last six games but his placement on LTIR should rule him out at least through next week as well. The rookie forward has seven points in 18 games this season. As of now, it's unclear when the team expects him to get back on the ice.

Perfetti (upper body) has been designated for injured reserve, per the NHL media site. Perfetti was labeled more than day-to-day by coach Dave Lowry, so his placement on IR shouldn't come as a surprise. Even once cleared to play, the 20-year-old winger could struggle to get back into the lineup, especially after the team picked up Adam Brooks off waivers.

Perfetti will be out longer than "day-to-day" with an upper-body injury, Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet reports. The Jets have yet to release a concrete timetable for Perfetti's return, but it's probably safe to assume the 20-year-old rookie will miss multiple contests at a minimum. With Perfetti on the shelf, look for Evgeny Svechnikov to draw into the lineup Saturday versus Edmonton.
