A daughter of star stallion Uncle Mo, Adare Manor won her first two starts of 2022 when she was trained by Hall of Famer Bob Baffert. Then, she was transferred to trainer Tim Yakteen and finished second in the Santa Anita Oaks, earning a Beyer Speed Figure (87) that was well shy of the figures (both 94) from her two wins under Baffert.
Adare Manor, who is now trained by Sean McCarthy, likes to set the early pace, but she may face pressure up front with at least two other speed horses in the race. "She will be challenged again early on Friday, and I think she's vulnerable as the likely favorite," Weir told SportsLine.
