Former Brazilian soccer star Roberto Carlos doesn't think Lionel Messi is the best player in the world. He also doesn't think Cristiano Ronaldo is the world's top dog.

At a promotional event in Spain, the former free kick specialist told reporters he thinks it's his fellow countryman Neymar.

The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan legend said Neymar is the best, French paper L'Equipe.

"People are always talking about whether Messi or Ronaldo is the best, but for me it's Neymar," he said, though he feels the youngster has too much responsibility on his shoulders when playing for Brazil.

"The Neymar we see at Barcelona is his best version. It is too much responsibility for him to be Brazil's leader already."

Not so sure, I agree with Roberto Carlos. Neymar has 46 goals in 67 matches for Brazil, including his most recent against the US

He has been great for club and country, but he isn't the best in the world.

But what did you expect a Brazilian to do, pick an Argentine or Portuguese? Ask Luis Figo who is the best. He isn't picking Messi or Neymar.
