The Florida Panthers have fired head coach Gerard Gallant, according to The Associated Press.

The Panthers won the Atlantic Division last year but are only 11-10-1 this season, 10th in the Eastern Conference after Sunday night's 3-2 loss at Carolina.

It looks like Gallant didn't even make it back home before he was informed he no longer had a job. He was spotted outside the arena in Raleigh:

That's cold, man.

General Manager Tom Rowe will assume coaching duties. Then Panthers' next game is Tuesday in Chicago.
