More Rio 2016 Olympic history was made on Saturday when Jaco Van Zyl of South Africa made the second ace of the week (and just the second hole-in-one in Olympic history). Justin Rose pulled it off earlier this week.

Van Zyl aced the 173-yard par-3 8th in the third round. His story is an interesting one. He actually skipped The Open Championship and PGA Championship to prepare for the Olympics after he found out South Africans like Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel would not be playing the event. It was basically the opposite of what everyone else did.

Now he has a memory to last a lifetime. An ace in Rio at the Olympics. The shot got him to 2 over for the week, still 12 back of the leader.
