This week's RSM Classic, which began Thursday and runs through Sunday, is the last event on the PGA Tour calendar for 2021. It's hard to believe it's over, even though the super season of 2020-21 has been one of the more packed slates in the history of the league.

Sebastian Munoz shot a 10-under 60 for a one-shot lead in Round 1, but relinquished the lead to Talor Gooch, who held a one-shot advantage heading into the weekend action. Gooch, looking for his first PGA Tour win, shot 3 under to hold a three-stroke leading going into Sunday's action.

It doesn't end with a bang, but it does end with a good field at Sea Island with the tournament split over two courses for the first two rounds. Webb Simpson, Louis Oosthuizen, Scottie Scheffler and Cam Smith are the headliners this week in Georgia as players vie for what could be the final Masters ticket handed out to the winner if he's not already in the 2022 edition of the tournament.

Things will also likely be close late on the weekend. The end result of each of the last three RSM Classics has been a two-man playoff at exactly 19 under, and four of the last five events here have gone to extra holes.

Regardless of how it ends, though, this will be a celebratory finale as we wave goodbye to what has been a wild year in PGA Tour golf. Nearly a tournament every single week for the last 11 months. The reprieve will be nice, but don't be afraid to admit that you'll miss the golf once it's gone until it cranks back up at the Tournament of Champions in January.
