The PGA Tour heads to the midwest this week for the 2022 John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill.. The John Deere Classic field will be one of the weakest of the PGA Tour season, but the course sets up nicely for players to score low and provide entertaining golf. Webb Simpson, the No. 58 player in the world, is the betting favorite at 10-1 in the latest John Deere Classic odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Other John Deere Classic top contenders include Adam Hadwin (16-1), Sahith Theegala (22-1), and Denny McCarthy (25-1).

Which players should you target when building your John Deere Classic prop bet betting strategy? And which sleepers should you target for a potentially huge payday? Before locking in any John Deere Classic 2022 picks of your own, be sure to check out the PGA predictions and betting advice from SportsLine golf expert Mike McClure.

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up almost $9,600 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure's model included Justin Thomas in its best bets to win the 2022 PGA Championship. That bet hit at +1600, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned almost $800. At the 2022 Masters, McClure's model was all over Scottie Scheffler's first career major championship victory heading into the weekend.

In addition, McClure's best bets included Collin Morikawa winning outright at the 2021 Open Championship, even though he was listed as a massive 40-1 long shot. The model was also all over Jon Rahm's (10-1) first career major championship victory at the 2021 U.S. Open. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the weekend, but the model still projected him as the winner.

This same model has also nailed a whopping eight majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has set his sights on the 2022 John Deere Classic (see tickets at StubHub) field and just revealed his top PGA prop bets. You can head to SportsLine now to see McClure's 2022 Charles Schwab prop picks, sleepers, head-to-head matchups, best bets, and his top one and done pick.

2022 John Deere Classic prop bets

One of McClure's favorite John Deere Classic prop bets is Maverick McNealy finishing inside the top 20 of the final leaderboard at +180 odds. McNealy has played outstanding golf at times in 2022, with his best finish (seventh place) coming at The Genesis.

McNealy has a tendency to be a boom-or-bust type of player, but McClure believes the track at TPC Deere Run suits his game nicely and he will undoubtedly be one of the more talented players in the tournament's less than stellar field. All said, McClure likes the 26-year-old's chances at adding his name to the list of first time PGA Tour winners at the John Deere Classic this week.

2022 John Deere Classic one and done picks

One of McClure's favorite Travelers Championship one and done picks this week is Adam Hadwin. The 34-year-old Hadwin has played remarkably well in 2022 notching seven top-25's and four top-10 finishes thus far.

Hadwin is ranks 12th on the PGA Tour in strokes gained around the green (0.422), 34th in total strokes gained (0.921), and 37th in strokes gained tee-to-green (0.781). In a relatively weak field, McClure thinks Hadwin could fly under the radar offering huge value this week at TPC Deere Run.

2022 John Deere Classic head-to-head matchup picks

One of McClure's favorite bets this week is Jason Day over Brendon Todd in head-to-head golf betting at -110 odds. Day has long been one of the premier players on the PGA Tour, and nobody in the John Deere Classic field comes close to matching his career resume.

Day has battled injuries in recent years, but remains a threat to win any tournament he enters when healthy. The 34-year-old Australian is one of the best players in the world around the green, and proved he still has the ability to win on the PGA Tour by notching a third place finish, one stroke off the lead, at the Farmers Insurance Open in January.
