The Mississippi State Bulldogs fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game on Saturday as the odds are decidedly against them. MSU and the Georgia Bulldogs will face off in an SEC battle at 7 p.m. ET at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. MSU is out to keep their five-game home win streak alive.

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but MSU ultimately got the result they were hoping for last week with a 39-33 win over the Auburn Tigers. Among those leading the charge for MSU was WR Rara Thomas, who caught six passes for two TDs and 84 yards.

Meanwhile, UGA had a touchdown and change to spare in a 27-13 victory over the Tennessee Volunteers last week. The team accrued 24 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory. UGA's QB Stetson Bennett did his thing and passed for two TDs and 257 yards on 25 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown.

MSU is now 6-3 while UGA sits at 9-0. Two stats to keep an eye on: MSU comes into the contest boasting the ninth most passing touchdowns in the nation at 26. But UGA enters the matchup with only five passing touchdowns allowed, which is the best in the nation. We'll see which of these strengths -- offense or defense -- will win out.
