The Celtics acquired Dozier (knee) and Bol Bol (foot) on Tuesday in a three-team deal that sent Bryn Forbes to the Nuggets and Juancho Hernangomez and a 2028 second-round pick to the Spurs, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Dozier is out for the season with a torn ACL, so the trade won't affect his fantasy value in 2021-22. The 6-foot-6 wing is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, making it possible that he never dons a Boston uniform.
Dozier (knee) suffered a torn ACL Tuesday against the Trail Blazers and is out indefinitely, Brendan Vogt of The DNVR.com reports. As expected, Dozier will presumably be out the remainder of the year as a result of a torn ACL. He ends the season having appeared in 18 games with averages of 5.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 18.9 minutes. In his absence, more minutes could be available for Bones Hyland, Vlatko Cancar and Zeke Nnaji.
The Nuggets fear Dozier suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during Tuesday's 119-110 loss to the Trail Blazers, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Dozier's injury certainly looked to be severe when he fell to the court on a collision at the rim during the first quarter of the contest and required assistance off the court from his teammates. According to Wojnarowski, initial imaging conducted on Dozier's knee suggested a long-term absence is likely, but the 25-year-old will presumably undergo additional tests before a diagnosis is confirmed. Regardless, Dozier looks destined to miss time, adding to the Nuggets' growing list of banged-up players. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic is day-to-day with a sprained wrist and should return soon, but Jamal Murray (knee) is likely out through the All-Star break, while Michael Porter (back) could require season-ending surgery.
Dozier suffered a knee injury and had to be carried off the court by his teammates during the first quarter of Tuesday's matchup against the Trail Blazers, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports. Dozier landed badly after a shot attempt at the rim and instantly crumpled to the floor. Given his reaction and his teammates needing to carry him off, it wouldn't be surprising if he suffered a severe injury.
Dozier (elbow) had two points (1-4 FG) and two rebounds in 17 minutes during Tuesday's 122-110 loss at Utah. Dozier was considered probable with a left elbow injury, so it's no surprise he was available off the bench Tuesday. He's averaging 17.3 minutes through three games this season and should continue working as a reserve wing for Denver.
