Tuch was included in a package deal to ensure that Vegas selected Erik Haula as its expansion player from Minnesota, Michael Russo of the Star Tribune reports.

Tuch was the cost of doing business for Minnesota as it sought to ensure that its blue-line corps remained intact. The 20-year-old spent the bulk of the 2016-17 campaign with AHL Iowa, where he compiled 18 goals and 19 helpers in just 57 contests. In his six appearances with the Wild, the first-round draft pick averaged just 10:42 of ice time. It seems likely Tuch will begin next season in the minors, but fantasy owners shouldn't be surprised to see him called up from time to time.
