  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Scores shorty in loss
    By RotoWire Staff

Lewis had a third-period unassisted shorthanded goal and an assist in Monday's 3-2 loss to Toronto. Lewis was the Kings' most effective skater in the defeat, having a role in both their goals. At three goals this season, he's already a quarter of the way to his career high through seven games. His start has been welcomed, but probably isn't sustainable.

  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Scores team's first goal
    By RotoWire Staff

Lewis opened the scoring in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Flyers. Lewis' goal 6:16 into the second period accounted for all the scoring in this one until Tyler Toffoli added a second tally with less than three minutes left in the game. The 30-year-old grinder broke double-digit goals for the first time last season with 12 and has never topped 25 points, so there's no reason to rush to the waiver wire for him after this performance.

  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Finds twine against Vancouver
    By RotoWire Staff

Lewis scored his ninth goal of the season in Saturday's loss to Vancouver. Lewis is producing slightly above his usual rate this season and could set a career high in both goals and points. The 30-year-old loses fantasy value due to his bottom-six role and lack of power-play time, but his ability to find twine on occasion makes him valuable in some deeper formats.

  • Kings' Trevor Lewis: Pots game-winner Tuesday
    By RotoWire Staff

Lewis scored his eighth goal of the season -- the game-winner -- in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Colorado. The 30-year-old doesn't get on the scoresheet all that much, but his 19 points in 59 contests have him within earshot of his career-high 25 set in 2014-15. His average ice time has hovered around 14 minutes for each of the last three seasons (14:06 this year) and he rarely sets foot on the power play, though, so he's still not much of a fantasy asset even in deeper formats.

  • Lewis has just three points (a goal and two assists) over his last 17 games. Lewis put together a stretch of three goals in four games in early December but the veteran winger has cooled off of late. He's well on his way to eclipsing last year's totals (16 points in 75 games) with 14 points (six goals, eight assists) in 45 games but those waiting for some sort of breakout campaign based on his early-season production may be out of luck.
