Horse racing continues to take place daily during the coronavirus pandemic, and on Saturday the Grade 1-winning Math Wizard returns to the racetrack when he leaves the starting gate in the 2020 Coaltown Handicap at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Fla. This 4-year-old son of Algorithms has three wins in 15 career starts, including the Grade 1 Pennsylvania Derby. He has been installed as the 3-1 second choice in the Coaltown Handicap.

The race is the fifth leg of the Rainbow Pick 6 at Gulfstream Park, which begins with Race 7 at 3:14 p.m. ET and ends with Race 12. Saturday is a mandatory-payout day for the Rainbow Pick 6, which is estimated to have a pool of at least $5 million. Racing insider Bob Weir has handicapped each of the races in the Pick 6, and with the six-race sequence featuring competitive fields, you'll want to see his horse racing predictions and best bets before making any Rainbow 6 picks at Gulfstream Park for Saturday, June 13.

Based in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Weir has been handicapping and following horse racing since reading Andy Beyer's landmark handicapping book "Picking Winners" in the late 1980s. Weir is highly invested in the Beyer speed figure, a number assigned to every race run by a horse that measures how fast the horse ran. He uses the figure as the backbone of his handicapping. In fact, thanks to his proficiency with speed figures and top-tier handicapping, he landed one of just eight spots on Beyer's figure-making team in 2017, a position he holds to this day.

Weir's methodology has produced multiple five-figure days. In 2014, he hit a $60,000 Pick 6 at Del Mar on a $144 ticket. The following year, he nailed a $31,000 Pick 6 at Gulfstream Park on a $36 investment. In 2016 and 2017, Weir qualified for the prestigious National Horseplayers Championship in Las Vegas.

And this year, his first for SportsLine, Weir has been on fire on his horse racing picks. In January he crushed the Pegasus World Cup, giving out an $8 exacta and a $1 trifecta, winning $757.60. In February's Sam F. Davis Stakes, he gave out the $0.50 superfecta, which paid $150.75. In March, Weir correctly pegged Wells Bayou to win the Louisiana Derby.

He nailed the late Pick 4 at Gulfstream Park on both April 9 and April 10, hitting for $827.65 and $394.65. He cashed the Pick 4 again at the same track on April 30, May 2 and May 15. And on Thursday he gave out the Pick 4 again, this time at Belmont Park. Anyone who has followed Weir has seen some huge returns.

Now, Weir has handicapped the Rainbow Pick 6 at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, made his picks and constructed his best bets. You can head here to see them.

Top Gulfstream Park Rainbow Pick 6 predictions for June 13

Weir is high on Leading West, the 2-1 favorite in Race 7, the opening leg of the Rainbow 6. This 3-year-old son of Distorted Humor has three seconds and one third in seven career starts. He is coming off a second-place finish at Gulfstream Park on May 24.

But that race was on the dirt, and Leading West has been better on the grass. "He now moves back to his seemingly preferred surface for trainer Mike Maker," Weir tells SportsLine.

Weir also is high on Letruska, a 5-1 shot in Race 11. This 4-year-old daughter of 2010 Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver has eight wins and one third in 10 career starts. She is coming off a third-place finish at Oaklawn Park on April 30.

She has a win in two starts at Gulfstream Park. "Letruska has not run a bad race since coming to the U.S.," Weir said.

In addition, Weir's top pick in one of the races is a double-digit long shot. Weir says this horse "has been showing good speed" and could light up the tote board and spice up the Rainbow 6. He's sharing his full Rainbow Pick 6 grid only at SportsLine.
