8:37 p.m. ET -- Well, now that we've filled you in on all of the bowl announcements today, there is one question left to answer. We had 79 bowl eligible teams this season, but only 70 teams can go bowling. So who was left out? Well, today was not a good day for the likes of Toledo, Central Michigan, Florida Atlantic, San Jose State, South Alabama, Texas State, Troy, Louisiana-Monroe and Western Kentucky. Of those eight teams only Toledo (7-5) and Western Kentucky (8-4) had more than six wins, so I'd argue they have the biggest beef.
8:22 p.m. ET -- Jeff Lockridge confirms what CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler reported earlier. Vanderbilt has accepted its bid to the BBVA Compass Bowl.
7:51 p.m. ET -- According to multiple reports the folks at the Gator Bowl enjoyed last year's Capital One Bowl between Nebraska and Georgia so much that they've decided to have a rematch this year, but in Jacksonville. Georgia won last season's meeting 45-31.
7:33 p.m. ET -- Jay Drew of the Salt Lake Tribune reports that BYU's opponent in the Fight Hunger Bowl will be Chris Petersen's new team: Washington. However, Petersen will not be coaching the Huskies in the game. That would just be a little awkward.
7:24 p.m. ET -- According to ESPN's Brett McMurphy, Minnesota will be making a return trip to the Texas Bowl this year on Dec. 27. It's opponent will be Syracuse.
7:06 p.m ET -- CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler reports that the SEC's bowl bids this season will be South Carolina in the Capital One, Texas A&M in the Chick-Fil-A, Missouri in the Cotton Bowl, LSU in the Outback Bowl, Georgia in the Gator, Ole Miss in the Music City, Vanderbilt in the Compass and Mississippi State in the Liberty Bowl.
6:56 p.m. ET -- The Associated Press is reporting that this year's Sun Bowl will take place on New Year's Eve between Virginia Tech and UCLA. This will be Virginia Tech's 21st straight trip to a bowl game under Frank Beamer, and it will also be UCLA's fifth trip to El Paso, and its first since 2005.
6:43 p.m. ET -- According to a tweet from the Kansas City Star's Kellis Robinett, this year's Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl on Dec. 28 will be between Kansas State and Michigan. Jerry Palm had originally projected that Nebraska would be Kansas State's opponent here. Apparently somebody didn't want that Big 8 rematch to happen.
6:39 p.m. ET -- Brian Davis of the Austin American-Statesman reports that the Texas Longhorns will be heading to San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl where they'll take on the Oregon Ducks. The game will be held on Dec. 30.
6:21 p.m. ET -- The Honolulu Star-Advertiser has confirmed that this year's Hawaii Bowl will be between Boise State and Oregon State on Christmas Eve.
5:39 p.m. ET -- ESPN's Brett McMurphy is reporting that Ole Miss and Georgia Tech will square off in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30.
5:26 p.m. ET -- While it's not official yet, CBSSports.com's Jeremy Fowler is hearing that South Carolina will play in the Capital One Bowl on New Year's Day. It's likely opponent will be Wisconsin.
5:19 p.m ET -- Scott Rabalais of The Advocate reports that LSU and Iowa will meet in the Outback Bowl on New Year's Day in Tampa.
5:05 p.m. ET -- Our Jerry Palm has confirmed that Northern Illinois will head to the Poinsettia Bowl where it will face Utah State and Ohio will head to the Beef O'Bradys Bowl where it will go against East Carolina.
4:44 p.m. ET -- According to ESPN's Brett McMurphy the BCS bowl lineup is set. Florida State and Auburn will meet in the title game, Alabama and Oklahoma are going to the Sugar Bowl, Clemson and Ohio State to the Orange Bowl, Michigan State and Stanford in the Rose Bowl and UCF and Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl. In other words, exactly what Jerry Palm told you would be the case on Saturday night.
4:38 p.m. ET -- Ball State associate athletic director Brian Hardin tweets that Ball State will play in the GoDaddy.com Bowl on Jan. 5. The Cardinals will face Arkansas State.
4:13 p.m. ET -- A release from Conference USA listing all its bowl bids has East Carolina officially playing in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl. According to the release, Florida Atlantic, which finished bowl eligible at 6-6, did not receive a bowl bid. The Owls won't be the last team to miss out, either, as we have more bowl eligible teams than spots this year.
4:08 p.m ET -- Colorado State has accepted a bid to the New Mexico Bowl on Dec. 21, which will be the first bowl game played this season. They'll likely face a team from the Pac-12, which Jerry Palm projects will be Washington State.
4:04 p.m. ET -- Earlier today Laura Keeley was reporting that Miami would overpass Duke for the Chick-Fil-A Bowl. Well, looks like somebody stepped in and changed that because Keeley is now reporting that Duke will be playing in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, not Miami. Whether or not this means Miami will move down to the Russell Athletic Bowl has not been confirmed as of yet.
3:58 p.m. ET -- The lineup for the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 26 has been set. It will be the losers of the Mountain West and MAC Championship games: Utah State versus Northern Illinois.
3:39 p.m. ET -- San Diego State will be playing in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl on Dec. 21 according to Mark Zeigler. San Diego State will face Buffalo from the MAC.
3:13 p.m. ET -- Boise State has accepted its Hawaii Bowl invite. It is expected to face Oregon State from the Pac-12.
2:38 p.m. ET -- While not yet confirmed by the schools or the bowl games, reports are that UNLV will be facing North Texas in the Heart of Dallas Bowl on New Year's Day while Oregon State and Boise State will meet in the Hawaii Bowl on Christmas Eve. Jerry Palm has reflected these reports in his projections as conferences seem to be trading bowl games.
2:20 p.m. ET -- Middle Tennessee athletic director Chris Massaro tweeted on Sunday that the Blue Raiders are headed to the Armed Services Bowl on Dec. 30. They'll be playing Navy, which accepted the bid weeks ago. Middle Tennessee takes the spot from the Mountain West. It's not clear where that Mountain West bid will go at this point.
2:16 p.m. ET -- ESPN's Brett McMurphy reports that East Carolina will head to the Beef O'Brady's Bowl on Dec. 23 where it will likely face a team from the MAC. McMurphy also reported that Houston has accepted an invite to the Compass Bowl on Jan. 4 where it will face a team from the SEC. Houston had been slated for the Pinstripe Bowl but was bumped for Rutgers.
2:09 p.m. ET -- North Texas has accepted a bid to the Heart of Dallas Bowl on New Year's Day. The Mean Green went 8-4 this season and are projected to play Syracuse in the game.
1:46 p.m. ET - The News and Observer's Laura Keeley is reporting that Georgia and Miami will meet in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl on New Year's Eve while Duke "drops" down to the Russell Athletic Bowl where it will play Louisvile. Technically the ACC's No. 2 team goes to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, but let's not forget that bowl games are about money, so the Chick-Fil-A chose Miami over Duke for the obvious reasons.
