The Saturday Viewers Guide fills you in on what to watch, when to watch and where to watch it every Saturday during the college football season.

I respect you too much to lie to you. As far as weekly matchups have been this season, this week is probably the thinnest of the bunch. Particularly in the morning and afternoon sessions. If there are any chores you've been putting off for a while, Saturday morning might be the best time to get them done.

Just be home in time for the evening games, because that's when just about everything worth watching will be taking place.

BREAKFAST

Maryland at #8 West Virginia -- FX Noon ET

Honestly, the way people talk about Maryland you'd think the Terps were 0-40 this season. They're in fact 2-1, and their lone loss came by three points. That's bound to change this week when West Virginia and Geno Smith take the field. The last time WVU took on an ACC opponent, it scored 70 points, and it's fully capable of doing so again.

Virginia at #17 TCU -- ESPN Noon ET

TCU's Big 12 life didn't get off to the most promising of starts as the Horned Frogs struggled with Kansas, but they return home this week. Virginia is coming off a beatdown at the hands of Georgia Tech last week, and things won't be much easier this weekend.

Bowling Green at Virginia Tech -- ESPNU Noon ET

This game would be a lot more interesting if Virginia Tech already hadn't gotten its inexcusable September loss out of the way last week, but who knows? Bowling Green hung with Florida for a while; maybe it can shock the Hokies.

UTEP at Wisconsin -- ESPN2 Noon ET

This game shouldn't be interesting, either, but it probably will be. This is the same Wisconsin team that barely managed to beat Northern Iowa and Utah State at home while losing to Oregon State on the road. Oh, and the Badgers are starting a redshirt freshman at quarterback. UTEP hung with Oklahoma to start the season; can it knock off Wisconsin?

UAB at #16 Ohio State -- Big Ten Network Noon ET

Braxton Miller has been one of the more exciting players in college football season, so this one is worth tuning into just to see him work. Get there early, though, as I don't suspect he'll stick around much after halftime.

LUNCH

Missouri at #7 South Carolina -- CBS 3:30 p.m. ET

If there's any afternoon game you want to set a few hours aside for it would be this one, and I'm not just saying that because it's on CBS. I'm saying it because it really is the only game during this time slot on national television that truly deserves attention. Keep reading, you'll see.

Oregon State at #19 UCLA -- ABC/ESPN2 3:30 p.m. ET

UCLA has gotten off to a great start, but this is its first chance to prove itself against Pac-12 competition. The Bruins will have to do so against an Oregon State team that has only played once this season but beat Wisconsin. Of course, the Beavers only managed 10 points in that game, and 10 points won't be enough against UCLA.

Eastern Michigan at #21 Michigan State -- Big Ten Network 3:30 p.m. ET

The battle for the great state of Michigan continues!

East Carolina at North Carolina -- ESPNU 3:30 p.m. ET

There's a North Carolina, an East Carolina, a Western Carolina and, of course, there's South Carolina. But is there a North Carolina South? Why not? There should be.

Temple at Penn State -- ABC/ESPN2 3:30 p.m. ET

You've fallen asleep, haven't you? Well. wake up. The good games are coming, I swear.

Colorado at Washington State -- FX 4 p.m. ET

OK, go back to sleep. Just set your alarm for 6 p.m. Eastern because you're going to want to see the night games.

DINNER

#2 LSU at Auburn -- ESPN 6 p.m. ET

Auburn hasn't looked like a good football team this season, and there aren't many teams who look good when playing against LSU. That being said, if there was ever a time for Auburn to get its act together and possibly shock the world, this would be the time to start.

Rutgers at Arkansas -- ESPNU 7 p.m. ET

Arkansas games are like a car wreck right now. You know you shouldn't look, but you can't keep from doing so and then tweeting photos of it for all your friends to see.

#18 Michigan at #11 Notre Dame -- NBC 7:30 p.m. ET

I told you it was worth the wait! Two ranked teams actually playing each other. Denard Robinson has done amazing things during his career against Notre Dame, and he's looking for an encore performance on Saturday night. This will be the week we really find out if the Irish are a force to be reckoned with once again.

Vanderbilt at #5 Georgia -- ESPN2 7:45 p.m. ET

This game could be pretty interesting or, at the very least, a lot more interesting than the oddsmakers seem to think. That said, considering the games going on elsewhere at the same time, I'm pretty sure you're only watching this one if you're a fan of either team or you're paid to.

#15 Kansas State at #6 Oklahoma -- Fox 7:50 p.m. ET

The winner of this game will take a step up in the race for the Big 12 title, and you have to think Kansas State has a chip on its shoulder after the beating the Sooners handed it in Manhattan last season.

#10 Clemson at #4 Florida State -- ABC 8 p.m. ET

What's this? A top-10 matchup? Well, all right, if we must! Seriously, the ACC Championship Game is scheduled to be played on Dec. 1 in Charlotte, N.C., but it might just be getting played in Tallahassee this weekend. Florida State has gotten a lot of preseason hype and is now ranked fourth after winning three very winnable games. This game will be the one that tells the world whether the Seminoles are real title contenders.

LATE NIGHT SNACK

#22 Arizona at #3 Oregon -- ESPN 10:30 p.m. ET

Just in case those three games between ranked teams weren't enough, the college football gods were kind enough to give us a fourth to end the night. Don't worry, if there weren't enough points scored earlier in the day to satisfy you, these two teams gladly will make it up to you.
