College football's new early signing period isn't for another six months, but there was some big #crootin' news for one of the top players in the 2018 class.
On Tuesday, five-star running back Zamir White of Laurinburg, North Carolina, verbally committed to Georgia. White, who measures at 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, is the No. 1 running back for next year's class and the No. 6 overall recruit. White selected the Bulldogs over Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina and Ohio State.
Though we're only halfway through the recruiting cycle, White is by far the best player in Georgia's 2018 class. He also continues an impressive stretch for Georgia in landing elite running back recruits.

The Bulldogs are led by the one-two punch of Nick Chubb and Sony Michel this upcoming season, and White should step into a situation where he can compete for the starting job next year.
