Lowrie exited Sunday's 8-3 win over the Rangers in the fifth inning with a left shin contusion, Alex Simon of MLB.com reports.

The veteran had fouled a ball off his shin in the fourth inning and was visibly in pain immediately thereafter. He remained in the game and grounded out, even playing defense through the top of the fifth before being pulled. Lowrie finished Sunday's contest having gone 0-for-1 with two walks and subsequently received treatment in the clubhouse. He'll be reevaluated ahead of Monday's game versus the Angels in Anaheim and is considered day-to-day. Chad Pinder took Lowrie's place at second base Sunday.
