Devils' Jon Gillies: Traded to New Jersey

The Blues traded Gillies to the Devils in exchange for future considerations Wednesday.

With Jonathan Bernier dealing with a long-term hip injury, Gillies will provide the Devils with some much-needed depth at the goaltender position. Gillies appeared in his first NHL contest of the year Sunday against Anaheim, surrendering three goals on 39 shots en route to a 3-2 overtime loss.
