Makar notched a power-play assist in Monday's 2-0 win over the Blackhawks.

Makar helped out on a Nazem Kadri goal in the second period. The assist was Makar's sixth such helper in 13 games in January. He's picked up 13 points this month, and he's up to 39 points through 36 outings overall. The star defenseman has added 104 shots on net, a plus-22 rating and 46 blocked shots while playing in a top-pairing role.
