Athanasiou scored the overtime winner in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Bruins.
The goal was a beauty, as Athanasiou grabbed a loose puck in his own zone, blew past the Boston defenders and capped off the breakaway by going top shelf on Linus Ullmark. The 27-year-old speedster has three goals in two games since returning to action from an undisclosed issue, and he was skating in a top-six role Monday, with only Anze Kopitar seeing more ice time at even strength for Los Angeles than Athanasiou.
