Red Wings' Vladislav Namestnikov: Promoted to power play

Namestnikov practiced with the secondary power-play unit in practice Wednesday, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

It sounds like Red Wings coach Jeff Blashill will roll with Namestnikov on the man advantage versus the Blues on Thursday. The Russian has plenty of power-play experience from past stops in Tampa Bay, Colorado, Ottawa and New York with the Rangers. Namestnikov has been terrific based on eight goals and six assists -- all at even strength -- through 26 games. He'll be a sneaky good fantasy option with additional power-play opportunities.
