Rossi was demoted to AHL Iowa on Sunday.
Rossi has averaged 15:35 of ice time and been held pointless through two NHL appearances this season. With the next Minnesota game scheduled for Friday, the organization is expecting enough returning players from IR to replenish their ranks without the 20-year-old on the active roster.
