Rossi was reassigned to AHL Iowa on Monday.
Rossi has been a healthy scratch in four straight games so his demotion shouldn't come as a shock. Prior to being benched, the 21-year-old center was struggling through a seven-game pointless streak and a season-long goal drought. If the Austrian can rediscover his scoring touch in the minors, he should be brought back up to Minnesota sooner rather than later.
