It has been a busy summer for the legendary Lionel Messi with the Paris Saint-Germain superstar launching his own exclusive NFT (non-fungible token) collection after his stunning recent Barcelona exit.

The Argentina international is now settling in with his new Parisien teammates after winning Copa America with the Albiceleste and this new venture sees him join the likes of former PSG men Ronaldinho and Gianluigi Buffon in joining the NFT game.

For this range, titled "The Messiverse x Bosslogic," Messi has teamed up with Ethernity Chain to create a "futuristic AI-driven bionic semblance" of his 34-year-old self which reflects his "achievements, moments and future accomplishments."

"Our vision for the collaboration with Lionel and Bosslogic was to merge the physical world with the digital," said Ethernity CEO Nick Rose. "Allowing fans around the world to engage with a coveted collection coming straight from one of the world's greatest soccer players."

Ethernity are known for producing rare NFTs and collectable items with poker star Phil Ivey, ice hockey legend Alex Ovechkin, and American musician Nas all notable previous collaborators.

"This collaboration with Lionel was not only a dream come true but a huge milestone for the Ethernity team," Rose said. "Being part of creating the Messiverse with Bosslogic is yet another way to actualize what Ethernity means and what we are working towards as a company."

Messi's four-piece collection will drop this Saturday and be available for a limited period of time with a yet-to-be-revealed piece to also come on launch day.

"Soccer is like art -- it is timeless," Messi said in the release.

NFTs and Cryptocurrencies are currently making waves in the soccer world after PSG revealed that part of Messi's contract at Parc des Princes consists of Socios.com fan tokens while Crypto.com are making inroads with Serie A.
