Anderson will not be tendered a qualifying offer by Seattle and will head to free agency, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

The Mariners like Anderson and are expected to try to sign him on the open market, but he's not good enough to require an $18.4 million deal. In 31 starts for Pittsburgh and Seattle, he posted a 4.53 ERA, as his strong 5.4 percent walk rate wasn't enough to make up for a low 19.1 percent strikeout rate and 35.1 percent groundball rate.
