What can you say about the tight end position by Week 17 of the Fantasy football season? If you're one of the lucky ones with an elite option – one of the first three to six in the rankings, depending on your definition, you've got a big edge on the rest of the competition. There are maybe two to four other guys you can consider must-starts this week, and basically everyone else is negotiable. The number changes from week to week, but that's pretty much been the case, more or less, since Week 1.

If you need a streamer, consider Mo Alie-Cox against the Raiders. He had 42 yards on four targets in Week 16, and with Jack Doyle dealing with an injury. He has big-play potential and the Colts like him as a red-zone target, so this could be a good week for him.

Here are the injury updates as of Sunday morning:

  • Out: Darren Waller (knee/COVID), Jared Cook (COVID), Hayden Hurst (COVID), James O'Shaughnessy (hip), Nick Vannett (COVID), Dan Arnold (COVID/knee), Tyler Kroft (COVID),
  • Questionable: Tyler Conklin (hamstring), Jack Doyle (ankle)

There really aren't many moving pieces here, but Conklin seems like a pretty risky player to trust in my eyes, given his inconsistent production and the injury. If you're looking for a streamer in a deep league, Stephen Anderson will start for the Chargers with Cook and Darnold Parham out.

Here are my tight end rankings for Week 17. To see the rankings from Jamey Eisenberg, Dave Richard, and Heath Cummings, make sure you head here
