Two teams going in opposite directions will make their 2021-22 Champions League debuts on Tuesday. Danish league champion Brondby will visit Red Bull Salzburg, winners of last year's Austrian Bundesliga, in the first leg of the Champions League playoff round. Brondby will look to turn around what has been a disastrous season thus far, as the squad is winless in five games, while Salzburg is at the opposite end of the spectrum with wins in all four of its contests. Watch the match on Paramount+.

Kick-off for Brondby vs. Salzburg is set for 3 p.m. ET. Champions League picks for Brondby vs. Salzburg

Before you tune in to Tuesday's Champions League qualifier, you need to see the UEFA Champions League picks from European soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated over $36,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

For Salzburg vs. Brondby, Green is predicting that Salzburg wins both halves at +130, meaning he is backing the Austrian champion to outscore Brondby in each half. Based on how the early part of this season has transpired, that shouldn't be too difficult for Salzburg to accomplish. It has outscored its opponents in five of its last seven halves of play, while Brondby has lost three of its last four halves.

Green notes that Salzburg has been vastly superior to Brondby this season and is getting contributions from all over its roster, including 19-year-old striker Karim Adeyemi.

"Ademyi has scored five goals in four games so far this season, and he looks like a phenomenal prospect," Green told SportsLine. "Salzburg also boasts a very talented playmaker in Brendan Aaronson, a New Jersey native who joined from the Philadelphia Union in January. Its squad is very young, but it has great athleticism, and it is solid in defense, with Mohamed Camara forming a strong shield in front of center-backs Maximilian Wöber and Oumar Solet."
