Adebayo (thumb) is targeting Monday's contest against the Raptors as a potential return date, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Adebayo suffered a torn thumb ligament during the Nov. 29 loss to the Nuggets and was initially expected to play through it. However, after further evaluation, it was determined surgery was needed, and he went under the knife Dec. 7. He was expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after undergoing the procedure, and he's approaching the longer end of that timeline, so a return seems imminent. Before the injury, Adebayo was averaging 18.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steals in 32.9 minutes.
