Adebayo will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reprots. Adebayo's ceding his starting role to veteran Udonis Haslem for Wednesday's season finale. While he'll likely be in a reduced role Wednesday, Adebayo remains the top option at center for the Heat.
Adebayo had eight points (4-6 FG), four rebounds, and four steals in 32 minutes during Friday's 111-109 loss to the Timberwolves. Adebayo matched his career high steal total while earning twice as many minutes as Hassan Whiteside. Apart from the takeaways, Adebayo didn't make much of an impact in the box score during this one. With the Heat currently sitting in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, Adebayo and company will need to finish strong in order to avoid missing the playoffs.
Adebayo tallied 19 points (8-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 31 minutes Monday against Boston. Adebayo was efficient shooting the ball and cleaned up on the boards in a 110-105 loss in Boston. The 6-10 center is averaging 10.6 points and 9.8 rebounds over his last 10 games, proving that he's a double-double threat on a nightly basis.
Adebayo notched 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-2 FT), 16 rebounds and three assists in 29 minutes Thursday in the Heat's 105-99 win over the Mavericks. Adebayo has been a beast on the glass of late, logging 11 or more boards in four of his last five outings. In addition to his stellar rebounding, Adebayo has chipped in 10.8 points, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks per game over that stretch. He's clearly emerged as the team's top center over Hassan Whiteside and may warrant universal fantasy ownership at this point.
Adebayo scored 16 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT) while adding 11 rebounds, eight assists and four blocks in 35 minutes during Saturday's 113-108 win over the Wizards. The assists were a career high for Adebayo, while the blocks were a season high -- topped only by the five he recorded against the Raptors in Jan. 2018. He's been playing through a hip injury lately but looked 100 percent in this one, and the 21-year-old should be a key part of the Heat's push for the playoffs.
