Seahawks' Michael Jerrell: Surprise pick in Seattle
The Seahawks selected Jerrell in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 207th overall.
Jerrell is a diamond in the rough find for the Seahawks out of Findlay. There will be a significant adjustment period for him at the next level, but the Seahawks were apparently sold on his ability. Jerrell will turn 25 before his rookie season.

Seahawks' D.J. James: Seattle ends tumble in Round 6
The Seahawks selected James in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 192nd overall.
By selecting James, the Seahawks reunite him with fellow corner and former Auburn teammate Nehemiah Pritchett, whom Seattle selected in the fifth round. Whereas Pritchett is a typical Seattle-style boundary corner (taller, longer arms, fast), James is very much not a typical Seattle corner. That's because James is rail-thin by cornerback standards (6-feet, 175 pounds) and has short arms (31 inches), two details that make James a poor fit for the press coverage Seattle is known for. James was an effective starter for Auburn and has plenty of speed to work with (4.42-second 40-yard dash), and apparently that was enough for Seattle, especially so late in the draft.

Seahawks' Sataoa Laumea: Added guard depth for Seattle
The Seahawks selected Laumea in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 179th overall.
Seattle adds to its offensive line again with the Laumea pick, and he will join Connecticut's Christian Haynes. Laumea starred at both right tackle and right guard at Utah, earning First- and Second-Team All-PAC-12 honors. He projects better at guard, as his ability in space off the edge was considered suspect.

Seahawks' Nehemiah Pritchett: Seattle selects in fifth round
The Seahawks selected Pritchett in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 136th overall.
Pete Carroll is no longer the coach in Seattle, but the Seahawks are still drafting Carroll-style corners. Pritchett (6-feet, 190 pounds) has a good Cover-3 profile as a boundary corner thanks to his height, speed (4.36-second 40) and reach (31 and 5/8-inch arms), and he looks like a potential steal for Seattle this late. Pritchett was a four-year starter (as a five-year player) at Auburn and was a leading contributor on respectable pass defenses each of those four years.

Seahawks' AJ Barner: Tremendous landing spot in Seattle
The Seahawks selected Barner in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 121st overall.
Barner tallied just 64 receptions, 610 yards and five touchdowns across 20 collegiate starts with both Indiana and Michigan over his four seasons, but it's fair to dream about what the tantalizing 6-foot-6 frame coupled with the tight end crop's largest wingspan could do as a pass catcher at the NFL level. Barner is a bit lean (251 pounds) for his height and didn't showcase the type of wild athleticism that so many of his peers did at the NFL Combine, but the Big Ten pedigree will always attract a certain organizational philosophy regardless if the production is there. Expect Barner to compete with a number of veteran flotsam for the No. 2 TE job behind the newly re-signed Noah Fant.

Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: Catches on with Seattle
The Seahawks selected Knight in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 118th overall.
Knight is known for his motor and drive, which is illustrated by his rise from beginning his collegiate career at a community college to becoming one of the most prolific tacklers in the FBS. Over his final three years at UTEP, he posted 337 total tackles -- 31 of which went for a loss. Knight is limited mostly to a run-stuffing role, but he could find his way to the field quickly on early downs and special teams.

Seahawks' Christian Haynes: Slide stops in Seattle
The Seahawks selected Haynes in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 81st overall.
There's little information as to why Haynes was still available this late in the draft. He started 49 straight games at guard for Connecticut and tested well at the combine with strong jumps and a 5.0-second 40 at 317 pounds. Haynes projects as an immediate challenger for the starting right guard spot for the Seahawks.
