Jets' Ryan Griffin: Shuttered for season

New York placed Griffin (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Ethan Greenberg of the Jets' official site reports.

Griffin will miss the Jets' remaining three games of the season after sustaining the knee injury in New York's Week 15 loss to Miami. Though he's the only player on the Jets roster to record a catch in each of the team's first 14 games, Griffin's overall 27-261-2 receiving line didn't translate to much fantasy utility. His absence paves the way for Tyler Kroft to serve as the Jets' clear top tight end during the season's final stanza.
