What time does 2018 Super Bowl start: Kickoff of Eagles-Patriots, TV channel, more

Doug Pederson's coaching mentor couldn't deliver a first Super Bowl title to the city of Philadelphia, but Pederson could get revenge for his former boss 13 years later.

The last time the Eagles had a shot at ending their streak of never winning a Super Bowl, Andy Reid was the coach and Donovan McNabb the starting quarterback. Reid, now in Kansas City, fell short against the same coach, Bill Belichick (as well as the same quarterback in Tom Brady and the same Patriots team), that Pederson will plot against in Minnesota on Sunday.

On the other sideline, the Patriots' goal is to accomplish a couple of things they've accomplished before: win three Lombardi Trophies in four years, and beat Philadelphia to make it happen.

The festivities, from the early-morning preview shows to Pink singing the national anthem, will be going on all day. The kickoff for Super Bowl LII is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday.
