Every NFL week starts with a Thursday Night Football game for most of the remainder of the 2021 season, and these are our favorite slates to play Daily Fantasy Football. The TNF showdown slate allows you a smaller crop of players to choose from, and if your cheap sleeper pick hits, you can cash big in your tournaments or easily win your head-to-head DFS matchups.
Every week, I'll get the Thursday Night DFS picks from our experts and we'll feature them below. But first, let's preview the matchup and what we might expect.
Last week looked like we were settling for Mike White part two after the unheralded backup led the Jets on a full-field touchdown drive, but after suffering a hand injury the forced him to miss the rest of the game, the Colts ran away with it. For Indianapolis, Carson Wentz turned in yet another 20-plus-point Fantasy performance as he weaves his way into legitimate contention as an every-week QB1. Michael Pittman, his No. 1 target, didn't blow up but did enough to confirm he'll be an every-week starter the rest of the way. And Jonathan Taylor may have risen to the No. 1 overall RB spot with another dominant performance.
This week, the action might be a bit lopsided again. Lamar Jackson is throwing more often this season than any with the Ravens -- by far -- and the results have been excellent from a Fantasy standpoint. Jackson is trending toward QB1 overall with Patrick Mahomes struggling and Kyler Murray missing time with an injury. He'll look to keep Marquise Brown going and this might be the game we see rookie first-round pick Rashod Bateman break loose.
