Boykin is expected to get the majority of playing time at quarterback in Saturday's preseason opener, the Seattle Times reports.

Russell Wilson will play a series or two before Boykin handles most of the snaps. Jake Heaps, who is pushing Boykin for the backup job, likely will play some in the fourth quarter. Boykin has the lead for the job, but Heaps has impressed in camp. The Seahawks, though, like Boykin's dual-threat style, which is similar to Wilson's. The team still might sign a veteran backup after camp cuts starts in a couple weeks.
