Though the onslaught of COVID-19 pauses across men's basketball have slowed in recent days -- and dipped significantly from the barrage of halts that arrived the week before Christmas -- there are still teams being sidelined by multiple players testing positive for the coronavirus.

On Tuesday, Providence's game at Creighton was postponed hours before tip-off due to PC not having enough players to play the game. PC's pause will continue through the weekend; the Big East announced Thursday morning that UConn-Providence, scheduled for Saturday, is off. The same goes for Providence's game Tuesday against Seton Hall. Elsewhere, a pause is in effect for the 10-3 San Diego State Aztecs, who were scheduled to play New Mexico on Saturday.

And Saint Mary's, which is a projected NCAA Tournament team as of today, won't play its scheduled game Saturday because Pacific is on pause.

Since mid-December's omicron-fueled outbreak across American sports, more than 140 men's college basketball programs have gone on COVID pause. As of Tuesday evening, the number had dropped in a week's time from more than 60 to fewer than 15. Between cancellations and postponements, more than 220 games have been impacted. A complete list of schools on halt can be see below, in addition to previous programs that paused in December or early January.
