Week 5 felt like a full card of title fights with each top-25 game even more impressive than the last. It all peaked Saturday night with the best college football game of the season so far: Clemson's 42-36 win against Louisville on in Death Valley.
The Tigers hung tight at No. 3 after the win while the Cardinals dropped to No. 8. There were more dramatic shakeups coming further down the latest Coaches Poll. Washington started the weekend of ranked battles with a dominant win over Stanford on Friday that moved the Huskies up to No. 6, right around the clutch-your-pearls, thrill-a-minute Tennessee, which now checks in at No. 9 after its own insane ending against Georgia.
Michigan State, TCU, Georgia, San Diego State and Texas all fell out of the top 25 following losses, opening the door for a ton of new faces in the poll. Colorado jumped 14 spots to No. 23, West Virginia up 10 spots No. 20 and Western Michigan moved up seven spots to No. 25. Row the Boat.
