07/27/16DBAqib TalibLegNFITalib (foot) will begin training camp on the non-football injury list, Around The NFL reports.

Talib was expected to be ready for the start of training camp, but the leg he injured a shooting incident in June appears to still be impacting him. It doesn't appear that the injury is too serious and Talib isn't expected to miss any time once the regular season rolls around.

07/27/16LBDeMarcus WareBackNFIWare (back) will start training camp on the non-football injury list, Jeff Legwold of ESPN NFL Nation reports.

Ware missed five games in 2015 due to back issues but he was able to play through the injury in the final four games of the regular season and throughout the playoffs. The team expressed concern back in June that the injury was still lingering, but it doesn't seem as though it will prevent him from playing once the regular season rolls around.

07/11/16RBDevontae BookerKneePROBABLEBooker's (knee) pass-catching ability could earn him early playing time, particularly in third-down situations, ESPN.com reports.

Booker was taken during the fourth round this year, and despite coming off a February meniscus surgery, he's impressed with his hands during the Broncos' offseason program. Although C.J. Anderson projects as Denver's starting running back right now, Booker could push Ronnie Hillman for the backup job, which would feature third-down snaps and increase Booker's potential in PPR leagues.

07/11/16QBMark SanchezThumbPROBABLEThe Broncos' quarterback competition is wide open, The Denver Post reports.

The news comes from the top, general manager John Elway, but the super-competitive hall-of-famer has little reason to say anything else. His job, and the job of head coach Gary Kubiak, is to keep all three competitors motivated. Split reps, which the Broncos are expected to divvy out, probably favor rookie Paxton Lynch because they offer a better shot at catching up than typical second or third-team reps. In the end, the job is still probably Sanchez's to lose given the fact that the defending champions have an opportunity to remain competitive with even average quarterback play. If he fails to provide that safety net, however, there would be little reason for the team no to throw Lynch in to see what he can do.

07/11/16TERhett EllisonKneeQUESTIONABLEEllison (knee) anticipates a full recovery by training camp, the Twin Cities-Pioneer Press reports.

Ellison suffered a torn patellar tendon in last year's season finale against the Packers, but hasn't reported any setbacks in his recovery and anticipates being 100 percent for training camp. He enters camp firmly behind Kyle Rudolph and MyCole Pruitt on the depth chart.

07/11/16DLLinval JosephToePROBABLEJoseph (foot) will have toe surgery during the offseason, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports

This shouldn't come as any surprise, given that Joseph dealt with a foot injury throughout the entire second half of the season. He missed Weeks 12-16, but with 56 tackles in just 12 games, Joseph cemented his reputation as one of the league's better run-stopping interior linemen. He only has 12.5 sacks in 81 career games.

04/27/16DBAntone ExumRibsPROBABLEExum could be in the mix to win a starting safety job next to Harrison Smith after returning from rib and shoulder injuries during spring practice, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

He mostly worked with the second- and third-string defense, but he could work his way into the mix for playing time at strong safety with an impressive showing at training camp. Exum missed time last year with a knee injury and spent the final few weeks on injured reserve with a fractured rib and an AC joint injury. He'll compete with Andrew Sendejo, Michael Griffin, Anthony Harris and 2016 seventh-round draft pick Jayron Kearse.
